MY EXPERIENCE WITH HAIR LIGHTENING
So recently, like three days ago, my sister and I lightened our hair using Schwarzkopf NORDIC Blonde L1++ ultimate lightener.
Anyways, This is apparently (according to product packaging) NORDIC Blonde's strongest lightener. It has a anti yellow effect for light brown to dark brown hair and comes with a small package of brightening oil-booster for better feeling hair.
I am rather satisfied with the results as you can see from the first photo comparison of my hair before and after lightening. My hair is now light brown as you can see from the pictures below.
When applying the product, it occurred to me that the lightener took to the tips of the hair and the neck area much faster than the upper parts of the hair.
This was the result my sister had when lightener was applied to the neck part thing. Sorry about the quality of the photo I was really hungry.
My hair- My hair is very fine , soft and actually rather brown (only in the sun ahaha). After using the product, including the brightening oil booster, my hair did not feel hard or brittle as I had feared it would. My sister on the other hand has thicker and darker hair so it took longer for the lightener to take effect. Overall, her hair did not lighten as much as mine. Still, it is now a nice dark brown.
Dye- I had no problems with this lightener as it did not sting at all. The smell was rather strong but seemed okay after reading reviews on other dyes where people actually passed out from the fumes. However I suppose opening the window may have helped contributed to the "funness" of the hair lightening experience. There was enough lightener for my sister and I to both lighten our hair considering that my sister only did the tips and I happen to have short as hair.
Everything else- While waiting for the lightener to take effect (which by the way took 30-45 mins) I read the packaging to only realize then that this product could cause an allergic reactionahahahahahhah. Well I didn't die so I guess i'm not allergic to this lightener.
By the way, the lightener came with an easy reading instruction leaflet , a pair of gloves and the oil- booster.
Price- I purchased this product for $6.39 from the Chemist warehouse.Totally worth it in my opinion.
